Sanders Selected High School All-American

 

 

Cortney Sanders was selected High School All American for her upcoming senior high school season. Last year Cortney scored 32 goals, setting a new high school record for most amount of goals scored in a single season.

 

Sanders plays forward on the NWA Lightning SC '91 Girls Team. She has won 3 club state championships, been a finalist once, has made two Region III National Championship Series appearances, 1 high school state championship, one 2nd place finish, and been a State Olympic Development Team select on a number of occasions. Last year she was selected high school All State, and High School Sports - the Magazine selected Cortney the high school player of the year.

 

"Cortney is probably the most coachable player I have ever had the pleasure to work with and the award is much deserved", Her club coach Jakob Nilsson said.

 

This is Cortney's final high school season

Sanders has not announced her college plans at this point.
